Is ClickMagick legit? Company record, security statements and billing terms checked

Last materially reviewed 2026-10-03

Quick answerThe Texas state record lists ClickMagick, Inc. as an active corporation, and its own pages publish a 14-day trial and a 30-day refund policy. That is what the records show, not a guarantee. Read the upgrade terms first.

Is ClickMagick legit? The answer from the Texas record and the terms

On the public record, ClickMagick is a registered company selling a subscription product under published terms. The Texas Comptroller's franchise tax record lists ClickMagick, Inc. as formed in Texas, with an active registration and an active right to transact business in the state. The company publishes its terms of service, privacy policy, refund policy, trial policy and a public status page, and its privacy policy says payments are processed by Stripe. Those records are not an endorsement or a guarantee of results, so read the upgrade, refund and data deletion terms further down before you pay. Everything here comes from registry and vendor pages read on 3 October 2026; we have not used the product hands-on.

The street address differs between the privacy policy, the terms and the state record, although all three are in Houston. The 2016 date is the corporation's registration; which entity ran the product before then is not stated on the pages we read. ClickMagick also says more than 122,000 accounts have been created. That is the company's own figure and we could not check it independently.

Security, privacy and compliance statements ClickMagick makes

  • Login security: two-factor authentication by mobile phone can be switched on from the Profile menu.
  • Card data: the privacy policy says card details go straight to Stripe and ClickMagick holds no record of them.
  • Your visitors' data: by default the only personal data collected from your visitors is their IP address. Anything more, such as names or emails, is data you choose to send.
  • GDPR: ClickMagick describes itself as the data processor and you as the data controller, publishes a Data Processing Addendum, and leaves visitor consent to you.
  • CCPA: it states that it does not sell or share personal information as the CCPA defines those terms.

We found no SOC 2 or ISO 27001 statement on the pages we read, so ask the vendor in writing if your procurement process needs one. The terms also say uninterrupted service and complete accuracy of statistics are not guaranteed. If you track EU visitors, read the privacy and consent guide before installing the code.

Three ClickMagick terms to read before you pay

We did not read third-party review or complaint sites, so this page lists no ratings or complaint counts. What it can cite is ClickMagick's own paperwork.

  1. Automatic upgrades. Starter covers 10,000 tracked visitors a month, and bot and flagged clicks count toward the total. Go over the limit and the account moves to Standard, $199 a month on monthly billing, until you downgrade it yourself. ClickMagick's own help articles disagree on the cushion above the plan limit before the automatic upgrade: one says 10% and another says 25%.
  2. Trial eligibility. The Trial Policy page offers a trial to anyone without an account in the past 6 months, while the knowledge base says trials are limited to one per customer.
  3. Add-on refunds. The terms exclude AI-powered add-ons such as ClickMagick Insights from refunds, while the pricing page shows Insights as included with all plans.

The first of these raises the recurring price until you downgrade. How ClickMagick visitor limits work explains what counts.

Who ClickMagick's published terms suit and who should choose another tool

ClickMagick suits an advertiser or affiliate who wants a US-registered vendor, card billing through Stripe, a trial, a refund window and published terms, and who will watch monthly visitor volume. It is a weaker fit if you need a published security certification, or if a move from $79 to $199 a month on monthly billing would hurt. If channel and onsite reporting in GA4 is all you need, you may not need a paid tracker at all: see ClickMagick vs GA4.
