How ClickMagick tracks ClickBank sales
ClickMagick tracks ClickBank sales with a postback, the URL a network calls on each transaction so ClickMagick can record the sale against the click. ClickBank calls it the Instant Notification URL and adds a Secret Key. ClickMagick says any network that supports sub-IDs or server-to-server postbacks works with it; see ClickMagick integrations for other networks. Its Starter plan is $79 a month on monthly billing, as read on October 8, 2026.

Start a 14-day ClickMagick trial →Setting up the ClickBank Instant Notification URL
ClickBank says Instant Notification is not switched on automatically: you request access in Vendor Settings. ClickMagick's ClickBank article then runs in four steps:
- In ClickBank's Vendor Settings, create a Secret Key of up to 16 characters, numbers and capital letters.
- In ClickMagick, enter that Secret Key on the Keys tab of Account Settings.
- Copy the Instant Notification URL from your own ClickMagick account, not the help center's examples, into ClickBank, pick version 7.0 and click TEST IPN.
- Add the cmc_vid token to the tid parameter of your hoplink, ClickBank's affiliate link.
ClickMagick says to pick version 8.0 only for a specific reason, while ClickBank calls 8.0 its current version. ClickBank says Instant Notification suits people with programming experience, and ClickMagick calls its vendor setup simple.
ClickBank tracking ID: the tid parameter and sub-IDs
A ClickBank tracking ID (TID) is an alphanumeric string of up to 100 characters, using numbers, lowercase letters and underscores. ClickBank says a dash breaks it, TIDs are optional, and the vendor cannot see yours.
On version 7.0, ClickMagick's article sends the visitor ID in tid through the cmc_vid token, which ClickMagick swaps for the click's own ID. On version 8.0 the visitor ID goes in extclid, which leaves tid free for your own labels.
A sub-ID is a tag on a link that traces a sale back to a page, ad or email; what is affiliate tracking covers the basics. Smart Links, ClickMagick's branded redirect links, pass up to 5 sub-IDs and are not meant for paid ads.
Upsells, rebills and refunds for ClickBank vendors
For ClickBank vendors, ClickMagick's help center says the Instant Notification URL sends sales back to ClickMagick directly from ClickBank: initial sales, upsells, downsells, rebills and refunds. Refunds on postback sales are processed automatically when the network sends them.
Which ClickMagick plan a ClickBank affiliate needs
ClickMagick's pricing page lists unlimited affiliate campaigns as a Standard feature, while a help article says affiliates can track unlimited campaigns on any plan, so ask support which applies.
Starter is $79 a month on monthly billing, or $790 a year on yearly billing, shown as $66 a month, with 10,000 tracked visitors. Standard is $199 a month on monthly billing. Send ad traffic to your own page first: ClickMagick says linking an ad straight to an affiliate link breaks the rules of most ad networks, Google Ads and Facebook Ads included.
BeMob's Free plan suits an affiliate who wants a free campaign tracker, with 100,000 events a month; see affiliate link tracker. ClickMagick's 14-day free trial starts from its sign-up page, before a plan is picked.
